PROJECT DETAILS
GENERAL OVERVIEW
The 30MW Lac Hoa and 30MW Hoa Dong projects are located in Vinh Chau, Soc Trang, Vietnam and are currently under construction. Each project utilizes 8 Vestas V150 turbines on 162m tall towers. With piled foundations up to 70m in length, these are some of the tallest wind turbine structures in the world. Both projects include a 110kV substation and transmission line, and a total of over 17km of transmission lines will be built for the projects.
The projects are located in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam and are built amongst aquaculture ponds for fish and shrimp farming. The projects seek to avail of the Vietnam government’s Feed-in-Tariff program.
