A Clean Energy Group with a Global Track Record

UPC formed companies have developed more than 3,500 MW of operating wind and solar projects with an investment value of over $5B USD, and have a development pipeline of more than 5,000 MW. UPC has a proven successful history of being an early entrant in new markets using advanced technology and creative local business strategies, helping countries accelerate their renewable energy development.

UPC Renewables has been a pioneer in many new wind markets and we are applying that experience now in the Philippines. UPC completed construction of its first 81 MW Wind Project in November, 2014 through its Philippines affiliate North Luzon Renewable Energy Corporation (“NLREC”) in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.

This is the first project in a pipeline of over 500 MW of projects being developed in the Philippines. The project has been developed under the National Renewable Energy Board Feed-In-Tariff program.

The Philippines business of UPC was established in 2006 and has a very experienced management team with over 20 employees that cover a variety of skill sets necessary to develop, build and operate wind and solar farms: including Development, Construction, Project Management, Financing, and Operations and Maintenance with offices in Manila and Laoag City Ilocos Norte.
