Thomas Arensbach
Vice President – Project & Construction Management

Responsibilities

Responsible for the Group’s construction management capabilities leading the company’s technical group including wind resource and assessment, design and construction.

Education

Thomas is trained in The International Federation of Consulting Engineers (“FIDIC”) and has taken courses in Construction Health and Safety Management Course and Risk Assessment. He has a B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering degree from The Engineering College of Horsens and Prequalification Course for Mechanical Engineeering from the same college.

Career Highlights

Thomas’ career spans more than 10 years with Vestas Co., one of the largest turbine manufacturers in the world. His career highlights include a recent position as contract manager for Vestas where he was responsible for sub-contract negotiation and control, support, and advice in relation to sales and project execution.

Thomas was also Senior Project Manager for Offshore and Onshore Sales and Projects for Vestas where he was responsible for Project Management of Offshore Wind Farm Projects from bid-support and tendering through to execution and completion with final hand over.

Summary

Thomas brings to UPCRenewables many successful years of wind farm project management and contract management. His many achievements in the wind industry include the management, supervision and successful negotiation of the first EPC project - Scroby Sands - as well as the installation, supervision and control of a 165 MW project which was completed without accidents, on-time and on-budget.
